This document provides background on the targets that world leaders agreed to achieve at the Tokyo N4G Summit 2021. It can be used now to provide context and framing as stakeholders develop new commitments leading up to the N4G 2024 Summit. The Government of France will release a new Global Compact following the next Summit.
