This document provides background on the targets that world leaders agreed to achieve by 2020 at the 2013 N4G Summit. It can be used now to provide context and framing as stakeholders develop new commitments leading up to the N4G 2021 Summit. The Government of Japan will release a new Global Compact following the upcoming Summit.
